המיוחדים שמינתה נציבות האו"ם לזכויות אדם לבחון את יישומן של זכויות חברתיות מסוימות , הכוללים ניתוח משפטי של הזכויות כמו גם דיון בבעיות הכרוכות ביישומן בפועל . 109 ניתן אף להסתייע בהחלטותיהם של הגופים הפועלים במסגרות האזוריות ( עד כה , רוב ההחלטות ניתנו במסגרת הארגונים האירופיים .
