Josep Ribera-Florit In preparing a critical edition of the official Targums ( Onqelos to the and Jonathan Ben Uzziel to the Prophets ) , one must have in mind that Targums' final structure was formed in Babylonia . Therefore it evident that the study and the edition of the manuscripts must be according to the Babylonian Masorah . In this contribution in honour Professor Aron Dotan , I shall attempt to explain the way one has to follow order to achieve a critical edition of the Targum to Ezekiel ( Tg Ez ) . ' When analysing the Babylonian punctuation of Tg Ez , one must first of all that the fragments available at present , according to the Babylonian tradition , are relatively few in comparison with the MSS Isaiah and Tg Jeremiah .
