Sarajevoborn artist Danica Dakic masterfully expressed this open humanist approach by incorporating religious symbols in a video performance . The image consisted of seven figures nude men and women , forming a circle around seven books arranged in an inner circle . Verses from the Old Testament , Quran , the New Testament , and the teachings of Confucius were read in the background . As the readings were completed the figures stepped out of the frame . In Aya Sophia the artists were asked to present works relating to the theme of " poetic justice , " but many seemed to have ignored this directive . Thus for example , Japanese artist Ozawa Tsuyoshi featured sarcastic photographs of young women brandishing weapons made fruits and vegetables .
