English Abstracts CHAPTER ONE SCULPTURE / Rivka Gersht works are dated to between the 1 st and 4 th centuries C . E ., and the Jewish and Christian free-standing sculpture and reliefs , statuettes and architectural decoration . The Roman centuries . Many of the remaining pieces are displayed in the Sdot-Yam Museum , including Much of the sculptural decoration of Roman and Byzantine Caesarca has been lost over the carved , or as plain blocks ) from the various quarries of Asia Minor , Greece and the Greek sculpted marbles from Caesarea were imported ( either as finished products , partially examples are discussed in this chapter .
