Perspectives, Relationships and Relativity in Ibn al - ‘Arabī’s Thought 102 is the goodness God bestows on people . When one practices abstinence from permitted things ( zuhd ) , one does not take into consideration the notion that all things in the world were created for the benefit of the human beings . Actually, he cancels God’s aim to bestow good things on people . Consequently, if he is aware of this fact, he should abandon abstinence . 5 The principle that all things in the world aim at benefitting the human being applies also to the abandonment of trust in God ( tawakkul ) . Thus, the mystical perception of God’s being and acts in the universe overcome the mystical station of tawakkul . 6 God’s transcendence also plays a role in adopting the abandonment of one’s examination ( murāqaba ) of God, which is one part of the station of murāqaba .
