When individuals are aware that they are, or might be, under surveillance, they are likely to change their conduct accordingly . The policy study “Regulation of Online Surveillance in Israeli Law and Comparative Law” ( Israel Democracy Institute, 2019 ) surveys Israeli law as it applies to domestic online surveillance practices and compares it to corresponding laws overseas .
